Based on a request for financial support from the Industry and Enterprise Operational Programme, ČD, a.s. received a financial contribution for a project entitled “Reconstruction of ČD’s Česká Třebová Training Centre”. 1. 3 / 066

Brief project overview:
The subject of the project was the reconstruction of ČD’s employee training centre building located in Česká Třebová. The project involved repairs to the building’s unsuitable technical components (roofing, external plumbing, installations, heat regulation, plastering, windows, lavatories and existing sanitary facilities). Two classrooms were created for 30 persons and two for 10 persons. And accommodation facilities for 70 trainees were created in three-bed rooms. The reconstruction also involved securing alimentation at the training site as well as facilities for lecturers. The training centre was additionally equipped with interiors (furniture, blinds, floor coverings) and technical aids (internet, audio-visual devices).

    • improving the quality of company facilities for training ČD employees and increasing the usability of the building’s current unsuitable premises by 50%;
    • increasing the training capacity from 40 to 80 persons in classrooms equipped with modern technologies necessary for training expert knowledge and employee skills at various levels and in various professions;
    • increasing the building’s accommodation capacity by 25 persons in modern three-bed rooms (total capacity is 70 persons);
    • securing alimentation at the training site as well as the necessary facilities for lecturers;
    • accessibility.

Realisation

The contractor was the company Chládek a Tintěra. The construction portion was launched on 20 December 2006 and completed on 3 September 2007. Following the comprehensive renovation, the festive opening of the new training centre took place on 31 October 2007.

The training centre is now operated by subsidiary Dopravní vzdělávací institut, a.s. as Transport Training Centre (DVS) Česká Třebová.

The first training course in the new centre ran from 5 November 2007. It was a basic course for diesel-traction train drivers provided for a total of 30 ČD employees.
