České dráhy is introducing further innovations in the field of on-line check-in via the e-shop or the "Můj vlak" ("My Train") application. Passengers can now easily switch from a plastic “In Karta” card to a virtual card and thus purchase the IN 25 and IN 50 discount applications at a discounted price. In the application and on the website, customers will now also be able to see the configuration of passenger and fast trains, the tickets can also be saved in a virtual Apple Wallet and refreshments can be ordered in 1st class onboard the SC Pendolino trains at the same time as the ticket purchase.
Support for easy user transition from a plastic In Karta card to a virtual In Karta card
In order to further develop the digitalisation process, České dráhy is now offering its customers the option of easily switching from plastic customer cards to the virtual In Karta card. Switching from a plastic In Karta card to a virtual one is simple and passengers can then purchase the IN 25 or IN 50 discount applications at a discounted price. When switching, it is sufficient to confirm the personal data from the original card and all currently valid discount applications and tickets will be transferred as well. Unlike the old plastic card, the virtual card has an unlimited validity period. Passengers can see all the applications loaded on the virtual In Karta card via the "Můj vlak" application and can easily purchase them here. It is not possible to transfer the electronic wallet on the In Karta card to the virtual In Karta card, but passengers can use the České dráhy Credit service.
Configuration of passenger and fast trains
The My Train application and the www.cd.cz website now display the actual train configuration of České dráhy passenger and fast trains. The configuration is displayed just before the departure of the services from the starting stations and during their journey. It is thus possible to know which specific type of unit or carriage is in a particular place. Passengers can thus see where the carriages for transporting bicycles, prams or wheelchairs are assigned. It is also possible to see which car offers 1st carriage class, which offers Wi-Fi or power supply sockets. For example, within the Central Bohemian Region and Prague, it is possible to see whether two CityElefant units are deployed on a particular route or just one.
Support for storing tickets in the Apple Wallet
You can now store your ticket in your Apple Wallet. The saving of tickets to the Google Wallet on the Android operating system is being prepared as well, and a similar function is also being prepared in the České dráhy e-shop, where passengers who do not have the "Můj vlak" application installed will be able to easily get the ticket to their mobile device. The ticket downloaded in this way will also contain additional information in real time, such as the platform and departure track, or warnings of traffic restrictions, etc.
Order of paid refreshments onboard the SC Pendolino trains
In cooperation with JLV, České dráhy has launched the possibility of purchasing paid refreshments for passengers in 1st carriage class onboard the SC Pendolino trains, along with the purchase of tickets in České dráhy’s on-line sales channels. The purchase is possible at least 48 hours before the train departs from the boarding station in the e-shop or the "Můj vlak" application, directly when purchasing a ticket with a 1st class seat for a SC Pendolino train. Passengers can order food to their seat at the time they specify and the price is lower than the one paid when ordering onboard the train. If the ticket is returned within 15 minutes before the train departs from the boarding station, the paid refreshment shopping is also cancelled.
