České dráhy to Introduce New Shared IN 100 Applications

The largest Czech railway carrier is coming with new variants of the IN 100 network tickets which can be used on the board of ČD trains across the country. The new features include Shared IN 100 application intended for up to four passengers and also the Virtual IN Business application for travels by up to twenty or fifty employees in companies. For both of these new offers, the application is uploaded in the Virtual “In Karta” card in the "Můj vlak" ("My Train") mobile application and is governed by the rule specifying that only one passenger of the group can travel on any one day.

České dráhy has introduced a new offer which is intended for up to four particular passengers with their own virtual In Karta card. This can be a family or a group of friends, each of them travelling separately. The Shared IN 100 card will allow one of the four customers connected to the shared IN 100 application to travel on one day. Only one of them can use the application at any one time. For example, on weekdays, one parent commutes to work with the Shared IN 100 card, the other parent uses the application to go shopping on Saturday, and daughter goes to the cinema on Sunday. The Shared IN 100 card is valid in the 2nd class, if the 1st class is used, it is possible to pay a one-off supplement at the conductor or to use the 1st class time upgrade.

Another new application – Virtual IN Business card – works in a similar way. This ticket is intended primarily for companies for business trips of their employees, because it allows to benefit from the use of the IN 100 application for up to twenty or fifty passengers with their own Virtual IN Card. As with the Shared IN 100 application, only one of the passengers connected to Virtual IN Business card can travel on any one day. Compared to the standard IN Business application, the Virtual IN Business version has the advantage of not having to pass a plastic In Karta card between each other. In the shared calendar, everyone has an overview of when the ticket is available and can book it for their journey. With the Virtual IN Business application it is possible to travel on the board of all ČD trains in both the 2nd and 1st classes.
